Video: An Inside Look At How ARP Fasteners Are Made

Nuts and bolts — they’re some off the smallest parts of anything mechanical, but they are also vital to holding any mechanical device together. ARP manufactures all forms of fasteners that are used inside engines of all sizes and horsepower levels, so they have to maintain a high level of quality. In this video, ARP takes us on a unique tour of how they manufacture their products.

ARP may have started out as a company in a garage, but it’s a certifiable powerhouse within the fastener segment, producing a wide range of products. With multiple facilities in California, ARP pumps out an astounding amount of fasteners for nearly every application you can think of. Every part of their process is done in-house, from R&D, to manufacturing, to heat treating, so they have a tight grasp on their quality control process.

For all of the different fastener kits ARP produces they take the time to base them on the actual components and not just measure the OEM fasteners. To help make the best products possible ARP keeps detailed records of each metal batch used in their fasteners from start to finish. As each product is made, it goes through very specific manufacturing processes and each batch is tested for quality, as well.

Make sure you check out this entire video that goes into great detail on the entire process of how ARP products are made. You get to see how the R&D work is done, all the way to the final packaging process. You can see all of the applications these fasteners are made for on ARP’s website right here.
