Fuel injector rails sit on top of your hot engine, easily absorbing the radiant heat energy emanating from the engine, and in turn transfer that heat to the fuel in the rails, especially when the engine is turned off and the fuel is just sitting in the rails, allowing for more heat transfer. The FR Shields from Heatshield Products shield the fuel rails from ambient heat, preventing the transfer to the fuel flowing through the rails. The hot fuel then enters the injectors, which could cause vapor lock and pre-ignition, especially on hot days. An added benefit is that in return-style fuel systems, hot fuel won’t return to the tank and further heat the fuel to performance-restricting temperatures.

FR Shields install easily, and, in some cases, can be installed without removal of the fuel rails. FR Shields are available in single-rail and dual-rail kits, with exact-fit trimming and cutting left up to the end user. for a perfectly tailored fit to the exact fuel system setup, along with any other top engine modifications.
