Hamburger’s Oil Filter Adapter Gives You Choice On Filter Location

Car builders and racers alike know that one of the downfalls that many of us experience during an engine swap is proper fitment of the oil filter. Sometimes the position of the oil filter can clash with the car’s k-member or subframe, making future oil changes next to impossible – and don’t even start about header placement and trying to do an oil change. Hamburger’s Performance has developed a cure for these ailments, and we have all of the details on their remote oil filter adapter posted below.

Official Release:

Hamburger’s Performance Multi-Position Filter Relocation Base

Take the biggest, most powerful engine you can find and make it fit into your car’s engine bay – that is the basis of hot rodding. However, doing that can create any number of clearance issues, especially around the location of the oil filter. Even with the factory engine, there are still instances when filters can be hard to reach. Oil filter relocation kits were developed for just this reason, although with all of the different engine and car combinations, not everyone could use the same filter bases. Thankfully, Hamburger’s Performance Products has made an adjustable filter base that gives you complete freedom to mount your filter virtually anywhere.

Never has there been a more versatile filter relocation base. The Hamburger’s Performance Multi-Position Filter Relocation Base can be mounted anywhere in the engine bay, rotated to the desired port orientation, then locked into position thanks to its unique two-piece design. With 180 degrees of rotational movement, the filter base can be precisely rotated to aim the oil ports in the most convenient direction. Hooking up the new oil lines is also a breeze thanks to the twin -12AN fittings that also allow for the easy addition of an oil cooler later on. But not only does this make engine swaps easier, oil changes are much easier too. No more laying on the floor juggling a dripping oil filter. Now the filter can be changed without even jacking up the car.

CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, this product is built to last. The filter base is also red anodized for wear resistance and engraved with flow direction labels for easy port identification. These remote filter bases are available for the three most popular filter sizes on the market – HP4, PH8A, and HP6. This gives you flexibility to choose the right size filter to meet the needs of your engine while working within the space limitations of your engine bay.

Features:

  • 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum
  • Can be mounted anywhere in the engine compartment
  • Makes oil changes, engine swaps, and adding oil coolers easier
  • Fits HP4, PH8A, and HP6 filters
