Learning the ins and outs of a max-effort competition engine isn’t an easy task. The knowledge that is gained only through tireless research and development is a closely guarded secret by most of those who possess it. Unless you’re Ben Strader of EFI University, that is.
Strader has taken that hard-won, race-proven knowledge, and concentrated it into an advanced three-day course called Competition Engine Development, that is jam-packed full of insider knowledge which will take your engine building abilities to the next level.
EFI University and Frankenstein Engine Dynamics have teamed up to provide a scholarship for four lucky students to attend the class. “Frankenstein wanted to give back to the racing industry, so they proposed the idea of a scholarship to send students to our Competition Engine Development program,” says Ben Strader, President and owner of EFI University.
“There are a lot of people who say they want to give back to the community, and that they care about this industry. So we, at Frankenstein Engine Dynamics, are going to put our money where our mouth is,” says Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Marketing Director Mike Shabarek. “We’re going to pay for four students to attend EFI University’s CED program.”
In order to choose the four lucky students to attend the class – which will be held sometime in 2019 once winners are chosen and their schedules can be coordinated – Strader and Shabarek came up with the idea to run a social media-based entry program. Prospective recipients simply take a 60-second-or-less “selfie”-style video in which hopefuls simply state who they are, where they’re from, and why they feel they deserve the scholarship.
Once you’ve recorded the video, you simply need to upload it to either Facebook or Instragram (or both), include the #GetFEDEFI hashtag, and tag both companies in the post. For Instagram submissions, that’s “@TheFrankensteinED” and “@EFIUniversity”, and for Facebook submissions the profiles to tag are “EFI University” and “Frankenstein Engine Dynamics LLC”.
To be eligible for this awesome offer, you just have to meet the above video submission guidelines, and get your video up and posted by Friday November 16th, 2018. Then, Strader and Shabarek will sort through all the submissions and and choose four winners in time to announce them at the Frankenstein Engine Dynamics booth at the 2018 PRI Show in Indianapolis, Indiana.
