If you’re an engine enthusiast, racer, or manufacturer, who attends the yearly bonanza of all-things-performance-parts otherwise known as the PRI Show — and you’ve been living under a rock for the last quarter-century — listen up! During the two days prior to the open of the trade show, the Advanced Engineering Technology Conference — scheduled for December 8-9, 2015, at the Indiana Convention Center — takes place on the premises, with a wide range of speakers and topics to be covered.
In fact, we’ll be sponsoring the event; we’ve found it to be an excellent opportunity to learn about engine-building and tuning concepts that are otherwise extremely expensive to learn. In addition to the excellent and engaging content, there are dozens of the performance industry’s true movers and shakers, from engine builders to design engineers to racers and parts manufacturers sitting amongst the dozens of attendees.
This year, the speaker list is distinguished, with a wide range of topics to be presented. The 2016 list is headlined by Jon Kaase of Jon Kaase Racing Engines, Bill McKnight of Mahle Clevite, and Jim McFarland of E3 Spark Plugs.
There are four presenters scheduled to speak each day; topics this year range from piston design to proper cooling techniques. In addition to the presentations, during the downtime between speakers and in the lunch gatherings, attendees have an opportunity to spend time discussing the topics with the presenters and forge personal connections that can last a lifetime.
The knowledge on display at the Advanced Engineering Technology Conference is the type of information that has taken the presenters a lifetime to acquire; attendees need only spend $399.95 to secure a seat. What you learn is up to you. For more information, check out the AETC website. Will we see you there?
