It’s that time of year again; where EngineLabs heads to the annual SEMA show to take in all of the hot new products on display, speak with the manufacturer’s representatives regarding those products, and plan new editorial items for the coming year. As part of our wanderings around the massive show, we turned our cameras onto some of the sweetest engines we could find. There were all sorts of engines from full-on race pieces to dressed-up stockers; the top fifty we picked out are here for your viewing enjoyment. Of course, cutting our choices down to the top fifty engines was a time-consuming and enjoyable task. It seemed like everywhere we turned there was yet another badass powerplant, and we only have so much room to work with here.
The Ford Coyote was heavily represented in many different forms from naturally-aspirated to supercharged and turbocharged. Ford’s EcoBoost powerplant was also popular at this year’s event. In addition, we found plenty of musclecar iron, many LS engines, and even a flatty or two. Single carburetors, multiple carburetors, screw superchargers atop Hemi powerplants – it’s all here. Boost seemed to be the order of the day, with many of the powerplants we found wearing some type of artificial breathing assistance. Without further ado, check out some of the awesome sights we took in – this post’s sure to get your motor revvin’. Feel free to tell us which engine’s your favorite!
