If you’ve ever built a fuel system you know just how expensive AN fittings can be…you also know that if the sealing surface is damaged they will leak. Just replacing the fitting might not be an option in some situations, so how do you fix a leaky AN fitting? Koul Tools is here to answer that question with its Fitting Fixer, a handy tool that can repair virtually any AN fitting.

Koul Tools founder Dick Raczuk has spent his entire career finding ways to solve mechanical issues by creating useful and unique tools. The Fitting Fixer was born when Raczuk was working on his stunning 1934 V12 Packard and discovered a leaky bung on its fuel tank. Since they don’t sell Packard gas tanks at the local parts store and removing it for a repair was a big task, Raczuk put his thinking cap on and came up with a solution: the concept for the Fitting Fixer.

Raczuk machined a tool that could be used on a drill with a 45-degree face, a guide, and then he case-hardened the tool. This tool would perform the lapping operation and would be coated in valve grinding compound to refinish the fitting’s surface. The Fitting Fixer you can purchase uses a diamond dust coating that’s found on most cutting tools to make the process more effective.
