PRI 2024: Texas Speed and Performance LS Roller Tip Rocker Arms

Texas Speed and Performance, a leader in LSx, LT, Hemi, and Coyote performance, recently announced its new adjustable LS roller tip rocker arms and companion trunnion kit at the 2024 PRI Show.

The new adjustable rocker arms will feature a roller-tip design. Texas Speed and Performance designed the rocker arms to come in two configurations: 1.7 and 1.8 rocker ratios. This gives users flexibility when choosing one.

This new product also allows for precise adjustments to valve lift, which is a key factor in engine performance. Notably, these rocker arms are designed for direct fitment with stock cylinder head castings. This eliminates the need for any modifications making it a simple installation for both professional mechanics and DIY enthusiasts.

Rigorous design and testing processes, including CAD simulation and rapid prototyping, achieved this direct fitment to verify compatibility and performance. Furthermore, Texas Speed and Performance also designed a new trunnion kit.

This kit uses a new tri-metal bearing design. Compared to other available trunnion kits in the market, the design enhances oiling and durability on bearings. This improved oiling is a critical factor in extending the life of the valvetrain components, especially under high-stress conditions.

The larger wear surface on the bearings reduces the load as compared to the traditional needle bearings used in the conventional kits, hence enhancing reliability. Bearing steel rocker shafts are also included with oiling groove cuts that help support lubrication.

These oiling grooves ensure consistent oil flow to the bearings, further contributing to their longevity and performance. In addition, the rocker shaft assembly connects the intake and exhaust rockers, making the valvetrain more rigid.

A rigid valvetrain is very important in maintaining the accuracy of valve timing and avoiding valve float at high engine speeds. This rigidity also improves the engine’s overall responsiveness, providing more precise control over valve movement.

Those components are especially important when used in LS engines destined for street and track driving. The new parts should arrive soon, so make sure to check TSP’s website regularly. The company website has more details, along with details of pricing and availability.
