Many NHRA nitro drag racing teams change motors between every round with lightning quick speeds. However, sprint car teams have shown that they can change their bullet just as fast in a pinch.
Engine problems right before the World of Outlaws King’s Royal feature forced Steve Kinser’s crew to change the motor in his Tony Stewart Racing #11 Bass Pro Shops sprint car. Crew chief Scott Gerkin led his crew to change the motor in about 5 minutes. This helped Steve make the start for his 29th consecutive King’s Royal feature event. Luckily for us the folks from the series were on hand to catch this incredible feat on camera!
Check out the incredible time warp video as the crew changes the motor so quickly that Kinser barely has time to get out of the car. For more information on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series fans can visit www.woosprint.com.
