After pioneering electric turbocharger technology in LeMans and Formula One racing, Garrett Advancing Motion plans on bringing electric turbochargers to the street. Garrett will be the first manufacturer to release this technology to the general public in 2021. Using an electric motor and regenerative power systems, e-Turbos will allow larger turbos on smaller engines, for more power and greater efficiency while significantly reducing turbo lag and increasing torque.
