SuperFlow will again sponsor the Match the Field competition at the 2013 Amsoil Engine Master Challenge, which gets underway in a couple weeks. In addition, SuperFlow is the official dynamometer for the challenge, which pits some of the nation’s top engine builders in a weeklong power shootout designed to compare engines of different makes and sizes.

Match the Field awards the builder whose engine records an average torque reading closest to the overall average of the field’s qualifying runs. The winner will receive a new SuperFlow SF-260 flow bench, which includes the FlowCom digital airflow measurement system. By the way, EngineLabs will soon publish a story and video on the SuperFlow flow bench lineup and and how demonstrate how to use one utilizing the SF-750 in the Power Automedia shop.
The competition will be held on a SuperFlow Powermark dyno with SuperFlow service engineer Matt Boyer at the controls. Boyer had previously run the competition’s dynos when he was with Dynamic Test Systems (DTS), a company now part of the SuperFlow product line.
Visit the SuperFlow website for more information on the dynos and flowbenches, and you can read more about the Engine Masters Challenge here. Finally, for a look back at last year’s winner from the School for Automotive Machinists, read EngineLabs‘ initial report and followup.
