Recently the fine people at Champion Spark Plugs, a division of Federal Mogul, gave out a race sponsorship to one lucky contest entrant–Carly Jo Ellingson–in their yearly Search For A Champion contest.

They’re back with their King of the Road contest, which is open to the “Regular Joes” of the enthusiast marketplace and intends to find some of the coolest street cars around, and reward them with cash during the voting process.

How does it work? The entry period is currently underway–you must submit your ride by 8:59AM EDT July 20th to be considered, and the company is giving away a total of $10,000 to the country’s best street-legal vehicles as determined by the voting process.

There are a total of ten weekly $500 prizes where the cars go head-to-head. Once all of the winners of the weekly match-up voting ends on July 27th, there will be a one-week holding period, and then the Grand Prize voting begins on August 3rd, 2015. The ten weekly winners will square off in the two-week sprint to determine the Grand Prize winner–voting will end on August 19th, 2015 at 8:59AM.

On August 24th, Champion will announce the Grand Prize winner at 9:00AM Eastern, and that lucky winner will take home a big fat check for 5,000 George Washingtons.

In order to enter the contest, you’ll have to gather a couple of photos and tell your story, upload that information to the Champion website, and then share it with everyone you know (and ask them to share it with people you don’t know). The more people see your entry, the better your chances will be.
