With Joey Logano’s victory in the Daytona 500, RoushYates Engines earned its 100 NASCAR Sprint Cup victory. Adding even more frosting to the victory cake, RoushYates engines also won the Xfinity and Camping World Truck races over the weekend.

Logano led 31 laps of the race and held off a late charge from Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt Jr. during a green-white-checker run that eventually finished under the yellow following a backstretch wreck among those in the back of the pack.

There was some tension in Logano’s voice late in the race after teammate Brad Keselowski and fellow Ford racer Trevor Bayne dropped out due to engine problems. But Logano brushed aside any worries and maintained his front-running position to the checkered-yellow flags. The 2009 Rookie of the Year now has nine wins in his career.

Just before the Daytona weekend, RoushYates released a short video showing the assembly of an engine destined for a team at the super speedway. Doubtful that particular FR9 engine was under the hood of Logano’s Ford Fusion, but the video gives a rare peek behind the doors of RoushYates racing.
