With some 1,800 cars and trucks on the grounds, we easily found a wonderful cross-section of engines to share in this 125-strong gallery.
The venue was the 30th annual Fabulous Ford Forever show held at Knott’s Berry Farm near Los Angeles. There are 57 classes in the show to cover every Ford produced, including those imports from Europe or Australia. There were vintage cars, resto-mods, 99-point restos, incredible survivors, street sleepers, racecars, 4×4 trucks and screaming hot late-models. We found 4-, 6- and 8-cylinder engines of all displacements and configurations. Lots of superchargers but not too many turbos. Lots of chrome and plenty of sweat that was poured into shining up some incredible engine bays.
