Vortech’s dyno room houses the intense mechanical testing that keeps the company engineering superchargers for modern horsepower demands. Over the years, the brand has continually adapted its supercharger systems to meet the strict airflow requirements of modern high-output street engines and track vehicles.
Meeting modern performance expectations requires rigorous development work behind closed doors before any hardware ever reaches consumer vehicles. We got the chance to walk directly inside the restricted dyno cell. Our team inspected an active research project that ordinary shop visitors never get to see.
Examining the supercharger up close, a clear polycarbonate gear case cover immediately caught our eye. The team built this transparent component strictly for experimental research on the supercharger dyno rather than for production vehicles or aftermarket show trucks.
Engineers spin the blower up to speed and visually track the oil as it circulates through the internal chambers. This clear case allows technicians to observe fluid flow directly, confirming that lubrication reaches the correct bearings while staying completely out of dry cavities.
Looking around the housing reveals multiple thermocouple mounts positioned across different test points. These specialized sensors monitor internal operating temperatures while the experimental blower spins under heavy dyno loads.

Vortech uses these visual fluid checks along with physical thermal data to verify that digital computer simulations actually match real-world mechanical operation. The dyno cell houses other confidential development projects on the far side of the room, but facility rules kept those sensitive areas off-limits for our video cameras.
