You may remember that we brought you information back in November about Eco-Motive’s success in obtaining a patent for their unique Dual-Fuel H-Motor design. We received an email from the company about their success in the next step of development – a full-sized scale model of the engine.
“It’s a stroke of genius,” said Herns Louis, Eco-Motive USA Founder and CEO. “Now that we have a model of the H-Motor built to scale, we can accelerate our development. The model will be used to test compatibility with multiple vehicles and used as a tangible representation for the investors and OEMs clamoring for more information about our design.”
Louis’ experience is in parts manufacturing, and he’s put that background to use in the development of the parts and pieces for the H-Motor, which uses either gasoline or compressed natural gas for motivation by using what amounts to two separate engines housed within the same engine block.
“We’re entering a new ‘golden age’ that makes improving vehicle efficiency and performance exponentially easier, which is the purpose of my dual fuel H-Motor,” said Louis. “Oil and gasoline have been the standard fuel for vehicles for decades, but with new technology comes change. That is why I firmly believe in this dual fuel design and I’m confident that others will appreciate its benefits.”
The company expects to have a functional prototype completed later this year, and is using the current engine model to seek additional funding from interested investors, while exploring partnerships with the major automotive manufacturers.
The bi-fuel engine will be manufactured in California and is expected to provide substantial improvements in emissions performance and reduce fuel consumption.
