Recently, we announced the 2025 round of the EngineLabs Engine Giveaway. In this year’s giveaway, Bullet Racing Engines will be building our naturally aspirated 632 cubic-inch big-block Chevy live on the PRI show floor, with some absolutely amazing parts — some of which haven’t even hit the market for the general public yet.
Immediately following the completion of the engine in our booth (POWER Automotive Media, Booth #1105) at the PRI Show, we’ll be driving the engine up to the University of Northwestern Ohio to put it on the dyno and prove its mettle. We’re hoping for well over the 1,000-horsepower mark on pump gas, and expect Nick Bacalis of Bullet Racing Engines and the UNOH crew to have no problem achieving that goal.

While UNOH has a lot of impressive academic programs, what they are best known for in our circles is its High Performance Motorsports Technology program. They have a whole host of programs available in the High-Performance Motorsports arena ranging from diploma programs such as “High Performance Technician” to Associate Degree programs and even a Bachelors Degree program.
The courses offered within the program vary widely to create a well-rounded graduate, ready to jump into the motorsports world with both feet. The courses include welding, engine machining, fabrication, steering & suspension, driveline, ignition systems, and custom engine building, to name a few. The program is 70-percent hands-on training, and UNOH limits class size to a 20-student maximum, in order to provide each student enough personal instruction to be successful in their courses and once they get into the industry.

Not only will UNOH be providing the dyno facilities for the EngineLabs Giveaway 1,000-horsepower-plus big-block Chevy, but some of its students will be assisting with the process, giving them some unique experience as part of their coursework. The partnership between EngineLabs and UNOH adds another dimension to an already very cool program.
Remember to head to www.EngineLabsGiveaway.com to enter beginning December 1, 2025. The giveaway is free to enter and will run until April 2, 2026.
