For years, when you wanted to build a dominant supercharged Ford, VMP Performance was on your list. At SEMA 2025, the company is proving it’s ready to dominate a new space with the unveiling of the Leviathan Turbo Coyote Intake. This is a purpose-built system, featuring the VMP Leviathan Turbo Hat and Lower Intake Manifold, designed specifically for the 5.0-liter Coyote, 5.2-liter Voodoo, and 5.2-liter Predator V8 engines.

Leveraging Supercharger Expertise
This move is all about smart adaptation. VMP is taking its hard-earned expertise from supercharged induction and applying it to turbo applications. “At first glance, this is a pretty simple part, but in combination with the air-to-water intercooling system common to many supercharged GT500s and Coyotes, it opens up a world of possibilities,” Justin Starkey of VMP Performance told us. He emphasized it’s an “easy transition from blower to turbo.”

Detail of The Leviathan Turbo Coyote Intake
VMP’s engineering is on full display here. The new lower intake is built to accept their proven VMP Street Intercooler Upgrade. It’s paired with a newly designed upper hat that uses VMP’s patent-pending airflow technology, which was first seen on their Apex Predator Supercharger lids for the new GT500s.

Cooling and Compatibility
They didn’t skimp on cooling capacity, either. The intercooler core is ready for extreme boost, with provisions for 3/4-inch, 1-inch, or -20 AN inlets. The Leviathan Turbo Coyote Intake is also built for flexibility. Recognizing that builders have preferences, the Turbo Hat accommodates the stock 80mm Coyote throttle body with an adapter, as well as a range of larger aftermarket units.

A New Turbo-Focused Line
This isn’t just a one-off product. VMP has confirmed this is the start of a whole new turbo-focused line. They plan to release a complete turbo cold side, including heat exchangers, manifolds, and trunk ice tanks. This SEMA debut signals that VMP is serious about the turbo market.
