When it comes to big names in the engine world, one of the biggest is Warren “The Professor” Johnson. The winningest NHRA Pro Stock driver of all time, Johnson did far more than just wheel the car from point A to B, playing an integral role in advancing the engine technology of the naturally aspirated, 500-inch big-blocks, class-wide.
The Engine Performance Expo recently announced that Johnson is slated to deliver a seminar on cylinder head and intake manifold porting currently scheduled to take place around mid-day on Friday, January 8, 2021. It’s not often that Johnson give tech talks, and with an hour scheduled for both a seminar and a question-and-answer session, this will be a presentation you don’t want to miss.
Additionally, the Engine Performance Expo has added more speakers to the current lineup, including John Callies, a 53-year veteran of the performance engine industry; Jake Raby, an expert on Porsche flat-six engines; Jim Gray, a race engine machinist with 25 years of experience in all facets of performance; and Troy LaCrone, noted drag racer and CEO of a manufacturing company.
Also of note is that the organizers of the event will be releasing a revised schedule this week, the current version of which can be found HERE, which pushes back the start time to make it more friendly to attendees on the west coast.
If any of this sounds interesting to you, make sure you register to attend the free event HERE. Held entirely online, the Engine Performance Expo will be held on January 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2021. It will be jam-packed full of speakers, seminars, and Q&A sessions not available anywhere else. Plus, one lucky attendee will win a high-end LS short-block being assembled during the Expo (check out more info on the short-block HERE).
