The 2023 EngineLabs’ 1,200-Horsepower Engine Giveaway Is Now Live!

The 2023 EngineLabs’ 1,200-Horsepower Engine Giveaway Is Now Live!

If you’ve followed us for more than six months, you know that each year, we put together a Giveaway engine build project, build it live on the PRI Show floor, and then give it away to one lucky winner. In 2021, we built a 1,500-horsepower Vortech-supercharged 427 cubic-inch LS engine. In 2022 we built a twin-turbocharged 7.3-liter Ford Godzilla engine that made over 1,000 horsepower on only 7 pounds of boost. This year, we’re going with yet another unique combination: a 426 cubic-inch Gen-III HEMI engine equipped with a 3.8-liter Whipple twin-screw supercharger, which will be built using some parts that are so new to the market, production units don’t actually exist at the time of writing this.

The power goal for this one is 1,200 horsepower, and like in previous years, it will be given away to a lucky entrant. As in years past, our friends at Late Model Engines will be building the engine in our booth (Booth #951) live at the PRI show in Indianapolis, Indiana, December 7-9, 2023. Once again, Summit Racing will be the presenting sponsor of the build, with entries at the SEMA and PRI trade shows not only entering you into the Giveaway, but also earning you $5.00 in Summit bucks, which can be used at SummitRacing.com

“Summit Racing Equipment is pleased to once again partner with Power Automedia in this engine Giveaway,” says Al Noe, Summit Racing Equipment’s Chief Marketing Officer. “The iconic HEMI is the perfect powerplant for this big horsepower build and we look forward to watching it all come together live at PRI. Summit Racing Equipment carries a full range of parts and accessories for the Gen-III HEMI, which includes our Summit Racing Pro HEMI performance parts. We look forward to meeting the winner and being a trusted source for parts, installation tools, and anything else needed to maintain the engine for years to come.”

Building the Giveaway engine at PRI

Like previous years, Late Model Engines will be building the engine live in our booth at the PRI Show in Indy. So, in addition to stopping by for extra Giveaway entries, you can watch it being built in person.

There are a number of ways to enter, all of which start with heading over to EngineLabsGiveaway.com and registering for the giveaway. From there, you can earn multiple entries by liking and following the listed partners social media accounts. Additionally, if you are going to be at the SEMA Show and/or PRI Show, you can not only enter at our booth, but also gain additional entries at our partner’s booths by locating the code on the EngineLabs Giveaway card in each booth. Finally, you can gain up to 5 additional entries by locating the code within each of the Giveaway engine articles (which will look like this: ELEPHANT) here on EngineLabs. There are up to 45 total entries available per contestant.

As in previous years, the Giveaway opens on October 1, 2023. However, this year, it will remain open significantly longer, and will run through April 2, 2024, 11:59 pm, Pacific Standard Time. The full set of rules and requirements are available on EngineLabsGiveaway.com, so be sure to head to the website to enter the giveaway, and stay tuned as we have some exciting build content in the works here on EngineLabs and the Power + Performance YouTube channel. The 2023 Giveaway Engine Build is going to be a good one, and one of you will be taking home 1,200 horsepower of Whipple-blown late-model Mopar power.

The 2023 EngineLabs’ Engine Giveaway is presented by Summit Racing and made possible thanks to partnerships with Late Model Engines, AMSOIL, Automotive Racing Products, ATI Performance Products, BendPak, BOOSTane, Brisk Racing, Callies Performance Products, Cam Motion, Cometic Gaskets, Diamond Pistons, Fuel Injector Clinic, Jesel Valvetrain, Johnson Lifters, King Engine Bearings, Kooks Custom Headers, Melling, Milodon, Performance Distributors, Powermaster Performance, Thitek, Total Seal, and Whipple Superchargers.
