ARP Reaches Back Into The Past With New Vintage Ford Fastener Kits

When we talk about ARP fasteners, it’s usually in reference to a highly advanced engine platform that is pushing the limits of physics, and as such, requires the highest grade of fasteners to keep everything together under such mechanical duress. But, that overlooks some of ARP’s core business, which is taking care of vintage engine enthusiasts with both upgraded and just hard-to-find hardware kits.

ARP’s latest batch of part numbers highlights this commitment to powerplants of yesteryear. First is a new head stud kit (P/N: 151-4002) for Model A four-cylinder engines. These engines are still surprisingly popular, and the kit not only includes modern 8740-steel studs and parallel-ground washers, but period-correct polished stainless steel acorn nuts. Not a part you’d normally find in an ARP head-stud kit…

In addition to the Model A, ARP has a line of five different kits for the venerable inline-six-cylinder Ford engine, spanning 1965 to 1996 model years, and both the 240ci and 300ci variants. Like the Model A kit, all of the inline-six kits feature 8740 steel hardware with a 190,000psi tensile strength, and all have ARP’s signature rolled threads. Stronger than cut threads, since material is simply moved, not removed, all of ARP’s cylinder head fasteners take advantange of the process, whether for a 40 horsepower Model A, or a 2,000-horsepower Coyote.

All of ARP’s fastener kits are manufactured at ARP’s facility in Ventura, California, when the raw steel is cut, forged, hardened, and heat-treated, resulting in American-made fasteners that will hold your project together under even the harshest of conditions. The company’s entire catalog of fasteners, tools, and supplies can be found here[www.ARPcatalog.com] or by visiting www.arp-bolts.com.

You don’t normally associate stainless acorn nuts with ARP head stud kits, but when it’s for a Ford Model A engine, it makes a lot more sense.
