In a not-surprising move, the folks at MSD Performance today announced plans to merge the Mallory Ignition brand with the MSD Performance brand by the end of the first quarter of 2015.

MSD announced on January 4, 2015, that they had acquired the Accel Performance Group, which included Mallory, Mr. Gasket, Lakewood, Quicktime, and Hays, and this move aims to solidify the company’s ignition products under one brand, while continuing to provide service for legacy customers.

Moving forward, all fuel and ignition system products manufactured by the company will be sold under the MSD Performance brand.

Customers with existing Mallory products should not despair, as MSD Performance has committed to honor warranties for all existing Mallory products, in addition to offering service and repair for these items. They have also allocated resources to continue to produce a variety of Mallory-specific distributor replacement parts, such as caps, rotors, points, and nearly 100 other components.
