Goodson Tools Named Exclusive Source For Sunnen SGM/VGS Tooling

Recently, Sunnen Products named Goodson Tools as the exclusive source for Sunnen’s complete line of SGM/VGS cylinder head machine tooling. In business for almost 100 years, Sunnen is widely known for its line of precision engine machining centers and tools. Goodson Tools and Supplies has a similar reputation within the industry for producing quality tooling and consumables to support the automotive machining industry, so it’s really no surprise that the two companies would team up on a project.

While the Sunnen SGM and VGS line of machines are no longer in production, the machines are still living in thousands of shops, machining valve guides and valve seats the same as when they were brand new. Those machines will continue to do their jobs as long as there are internal combustion engines around, and as long as they have a steady supply of consumables.

In order to best support the out-of-production machines, Sunnen has partnered with Goodson Tools to provide ongoing support for SGM/VGS-specific tooling and consumables. The product families Goodson will be carrying are:
