Comp Cams just launched their new Conical Valve Springs with a decreasing diameter shape which causes no heat or friction wear caused by traditional cylindrical or beehive springs. A progressive frequency increases RPM limit and allows for more aggressive camshafts, and a longer life for valve train components.
Official Release:
Our new Conical Valve Springs allow higher RPM limits in the valve train by reducing resonance and spring oscillation. The decreasing spring diameter naturally creates the best frequency damping without heat and friction wear caused by interference contact.
Features:
• Progressive frequency increases RPM limit
• Ability to run more aggressive camshafts
• Longer valve train component life
• Reduced mass improves RPM stability
