For this next round of Ask The Experts, we bring you into a realm we haven’t covered yet in the series: Fuel Systems. To answer your questions, we have teamed up with David Deatsch – the namesake of DeatschWerks, LLC, a leader in high-performance aftermarket fuel system components. To clear up any confusion, that’s “Deatsch” – pronounced like “beach,” but with a “D”.
Starting off in 2004 with drop-in fitment fuel injectors, today DeatschWerks offers a full lineup of fuel system components, from fuel pumps, filters, and regulators, to fuel rails, A/N fittings and braided lines. In addition to all of the components needed for a traditional carbureted or fuel-injected fuel system, DeatschWerks also offers components for direct-injection fuel systems, as well as innovative non-traditional parts, like surge tanks to keep your fuel pump fed in high-G situations.
DeatschWerks is active in a wide variety of motorsports and high-performance venues, including domestic and import drag racing, drifting, and dual purpose street/strip events, and has products from mild improvements over OEM performance, to all-out power monsters. We’ve personally been present at a dyno where DeatschWerks 2,200 cc/min injectors made almost 1,800 horsepower.
So, warm up your keyboards and get your fuel system-related questions typed up and sent over to [email protected]. The submission period for your questions will last a month, closing Friday, August 9, 2019. Answering your questions will be none-other than Mr. Deatsch himself. So once we compile your questions and get them answered, we’ll post them up here, just like we have in the past.
