Not everyone owns a pickup!

There’s a sub-Reddit titled “Just Rolled Into the Shop” that encourages followers to submit pics of unusual, strange and even stupid items that customers bring to a business. Right now there there’s a little wagering contest between subscribers who transport engines in some vehicle other than a truck with an open bed. Readers will find a small-block in the back of a Beretta, a big-block in the boot of a Pontiac G-body, a Ford 5.0 stuffed under a VW hatchback and a truck motor in a minivan. The hottest beast was a 550-horsepower Subaru Boxer beefed up with Cosworth heads, Pauter rods, CP pistons and more. That bullet arrived in the back of a Legacy.

Just perusing through the thread you can find other interesting engine-related posts with pics of blown engines, exotic engines, race engines and more.

We pulled a few of the shots that caught our eye quickly, but this thread is open for a full afternoon of browsing.

Feel free to share your stories and photos on our Facebook page, as well.

Enjoy!
