PRI 2021: Goodson Introduces Saber Tooth Blades And Abrasive Belts

When it comes to the PRI show, it’s easy to get wrapped up in fast cars, high-performance parts, and state-of-the-art technology. However, this show has more to offer than just that. You can also find companies that build machinery and tools as well. Goodson is one of these companies and displayed products at the 2021 PRI show.

Goodson’s Saber Tooth cutters last 30-percent longer than other blades and are less prone to chatter.

While in Goodson’s booth, we connected with David Monyhan, the company’s national sales manager, to see what was new in the tool world. Monyhan said, “Well, we went to metallurgical school and changed all of the metallurgy in our Saber Tooth series cutting blades. As a result, this product will now last about 30-percent longer and is less prone to chatter.” In addition, Monyhan told us that after extensive testing on these blades, he has moved the entire company over to this series designed to make cutting hardened or multi-alloy valve seat materials faster and easier.

If you need an abrasive belt, Goodson has all the options with custom lengths, widths, and abrasives.

Another product that Monyhan was excited to show us were resurfacing belts that they now make in-house. “We can now create lengths up to 520-inches and widths up to 15-inches in aluminum-oxide, ceramic-alumina, silicon-carbide, and zirconia-alumina,” Monyhan noted. “We can also make these abrasive belts in 36 to 600 grit depending on our customer’s needs.”

If you need specialized tools or supplies for engine building, be sure and check out Goodson’s website. The company also has a 138-page catalog loaded with more new products, specialty tools, and engine components.
