Make Your Engine Block Shine With Engine Pro Paint

Are you working on your next engine build? Not sure what to do about the crusty old finish on your block? Well, in the video above we talk you through how to paint that block and bring it back to it’s original glory.

Using Engine Pro’s Engine Enamel we took this worn-out engine block from grimey to shiney in only a few steps. First, we cleaned the block with a degreaser – one of the many products Engine Pro offers. The second step involved removing any residue left over from the degreaser. We all know that degreaser does a great job of removing dirt and grime, but it’s possible for it to leave a film on our engine block’s surface that would make it difficult for the paint to adhere. In step three we masked off any areas we didn’t want to get paint on – places like the cylinders, lifter valley, and any mating surfaces. The final step was painting the block, which involved making sure the contents of the can were well mixed, testing the spray pattern on a piece of cardboard, and finally applying the paint in a well ventilated area.

There you have it! It’s that simple. Engine Pro offers multiple types of paint, ranging from Engine Enamel and High-Heat paint, to Primer, Rust Proof Paint, and Fleet and Equipment Paint. So, whatever you’re working on, they have you covered…No pun intended.
