For the past 5 years, Icengineworks has been providing fabricators with tools necessary to bring their visions to life. Such is the case with a product we were lucky enough to see in action at the 2018 PRI Show. While we were walking the aisles and perusing the wares of countless manufacturers, we stop and spoke with our friends at Burns Stainless.
Burns Stainless is famous for their extremely high-quality exhaust systems, mufflers, collectors, and ready-made tubing for fabricators. It makes sense that they have partnered with Icengineworks to provide those same fabricators with a tool specifically made to cure exhaust manifold woes.
We’ve all seen those guys with bashed in headers, all for the sake of massaging them in place behind a steering shaft. Don’t be that guy . . . okay, that’s an extreme example, and an unlikely encounter when dealing with custom headers in the first place. But all the same, you want your job as a fabricator to be easier, not harder.
Enter Icengineworks NP and FESERIES modeling kits. From turbo manifolds, to full cat-back exhaust piping – they have modeling kits that will make mock-up and the subsequent fabrication so much easier.
You can see how useful the modeling kit is with it mocked up on the exhaust port of a Harley Davidson 80-inch Evo engine.
We spoke with Vince Roman of Burns Stainless and he explained why they are so excited to offer these modeling kits to their customers. “Basically, these kits will allow you to completely build and design the header before you have to cut any metal. These PVC segments all come apart and snap together. They’re offered in a variety of sizes to accommodate whatever you’re working on. The NPSERIES is made for the development of precise nominal-pipe turbo manifolds, while the FESERIES is for full exhausts, cat-backs, and turbo downpipes.”
