An Uncaged Monster In Indianapolis At The PRI Show

The PRI Show, or better known as the performance racing industry show, is starting tomorrow morning at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. The PRI Show started in 1988 and has been going strong and growing ever since. At these big trade shows, companies use television stars, professional race car drivers, or even athletes to draw people into their booths to check out their parts. For the guys over at Optitorque Technologies, they decided to go another route.

Instead of bringing in attractive talent, Optitorque decided to display their own kind of attraction. Until the NHRA top fuel cars return to Indianapolis next year, this engine may take the cake on the nastiest, at least looking, powerplant in the area. This is the Cummins engine that will be holding on for dear life with all of that boost hanging off of it.

This deck plated and sleeved 443ci Cummins engine features a billet aluminum 12-valve cylinder head that glosses things right up. As if that wasn’t enough shiny on this engine, mounted to the side of the Cummins engine is a 20-mm Sigma injection pump. As if that wasn’t enough badass for you, on the passenger side of this engine rests a twin trio of turbochargers. This turbocharger configuration is built with two billet Garrett GT42’s over four billet Borg Warner S478’s.

“All of the credit goes to Ross Castner from Optitorque Technologies and Weston Shupe of Infinite Performance, built for Optitorque Technologies,” said Justin Lindeman. “This engine will be a dyno mule for testing various things including real-world head flow capabilities and real-world fastener capabilities. We are pumped to see what this engine is actually capable of. If you’re going to be in the Indianapolis area, be sure and stop by the show and check out their booth to see this monster.
