New from Howards Cams – the expanded line of Pro Max forged pistons. These pistons feature a unique forging design for the ultimate in strength and performance. See more details below.

Official Release:

The recently introduced Pro Max forged piston line from Howards Cams is available for Chevy LS engines, as well as both Ford and Chevy small- and big-block engines. These pistons feature a unique forging design for the ultimate in strength and performance. All Howards HRC Racing Pistons are forged from 2618 billet bar stock and then heat treated and aged to a T61 condition (2618-T61). This material has less than 1% silicon particulate content and has the ability to keep its shape under extreme pressure and high rpm. Additionally, skirt shrinking is not a problem with Howards HRC Racing Pistons.

Other features that combine to make HRC Pro Max pistons an intelligent choice include: oversized and radiused valve pockets, accumulator grooves for improved ring seal, lightweight aircraft-quality wrist pins, CNC-turned skirts, forced pin oilers and machined oil drain-back holes.

Features:

  • Forged from 2618 billet bar stock
  • Heat treated and aged to a T61 condition
  • Has the ability to keep its shape under extreme pressure and high rpm
