New Lightweight NexTek Dual Valve Springs from Manley Performance

Improved valvetrain control and higher RPM potential is something that most racers look for when modifying their engines. Now you can get just that with the new lightweight NexTek dual valve springs from Manley Performance. Reduce friction, get added valve train stability and improve fatigue strength by switching your current valve springs to Manley’s new NexTek pieces.

Official Release:

LIGHTWEIGHT NEXTEK DUAL VALVE SPRINGS FROM MANLEY

The valve train experts at Manley Performance have developed a series of new compact, lightweight dual valve springs with open pressures up to 1300 lbs. that can be used in lieu of larger diameter triple springs. By reducing the active mass by up to 30% they provide improved valve train control and higher RPM potential.

These latest additions to Manley’s NexTek line are made from an ultra clean, high tensile strength material to achieve the desired pressures, while the dual spring design reduces friction (which generates heat) resulting in greatly reduced load loss. They also have a higher natural frequency, which adds to valve train stability. Additionally, a Super Finished multi-step surface enhancement significantly improves fatigue strength.

Reducing the diameter of the springs also enables the use of smaller, lighter valve spring retainers—which also promotes higher RPMs. The springs have been extensively tested on the Spintron, dyno and race track (including supercharged nitro-burning engines) and proven highly effective and durable.

NexTek valve springs are part of Manley’s NHRA Major Sponsor contingency award program for 2012. For additional information as to the various spring sizes and load ratings call Manley’s tech reps at 732-905-3366 or visit www.manleyperformance.com. A copy of the new 2012 Manley catalog is available online, or a hard copy can be purchased for $5 (for $10 you get a catalog plus a Manley T-shirt). Remit to Manley Performance, 1960 Swarthmore Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701.
