AEM Offers A Programmable ECU For Late-Model Muscle

For years, AEM has been the focal point for many import enthusiasts looking for more power, but with the recent influx of American muscle returning to the market, the domestic car scene is too vast for them to ignore. That’s why they now offer a programmable ECU for late-model GM LS, Dodge HEMI, and Ford Modular engines. Check out the press release below to learn more!

Official Release:

AEM’s Infinity Programmable ECUs Available for GM LS, Dodge HEMI Crate, Ford Modular and more V8s!

Infinity-10 and -8 programmable ECUs are now available for GM LS engines, 2005-’08 Dodge 5.7/6.1L HEMI NGC crate engines and Ford Modular engines. Infinity ECUs can also run Universal V8 applications that have 4 & 1, 8 & 1, 12 & 1 and 24 & 1 crank teeth & cam teeth configurations.

The Infinity EMS delivers high-end engine control for the racing masses, providing technology, durability and capabilities that are typically found only in the engine control units used at the top echelons of Motorsports, yet at a fraction of the cost. Built a round a latest-generation 200MHz automotive processor, the Infinity is capable of processing 400 MIPS (millions of instructions per second) and is perhaps the fastest ECU available today.

All Infinity systems come fully enabled, right out of the box, without the need for feature add-on purchases. Combined with AEM’s industry leading after-purchase support system, including free technical support, the Infinity is the ultimate engine control solution for both professional race teams and weekend track cars.

The Infinity’s airflow-based tuning models simplify start up and speed up the tuning process by eliminating many of the lookup and trim tables (Correction Tables) necessary in previous generation ECUs. It’s fast and powerful, able to process 400 million instructions per second and calculate fuel injector pulsewidth in units of 1/10th of a microsecond. The software’s back-end ignition timing code is tested to 100,000 RPM.

Each Infinity programmable ECU includes ignition coil outputs and injector drivers equivalent to its name. They are multi-fuel and Flex-Fuel compatible and offer multiple strategies for boost, nitrous, idle control, ignition trim, charge temp blend and more. Infinity ECU’s feature lightning-fast data logging, dual internal wideband controllers, dual knock sensing circuits, drive-by wire capability, real-time sensor diagnostics and an internal engine simulator. The enclosure and connectors are sealed and suitable for engine bay mounting, and are designed to withstand the harshest racing environments.
