SEMA 2017: NX Delivers Nitrous, Meth, & Control

The clever crew at Nitrous Express is always looking at ways to deliver more performance to your engine. This year in Las Vegas the company delivered a wide variety of products that follow that tradition, including direct-port methanol injection, a touchscreen nitrous controller, and clever, new nitrous system for 1986-1993 5.0-liter Mustangs.

“More and more guys are wanting to run straight methanol, and all of our water meth systems now use braided stainless steel lines which is 100-percent compatible with straight methanol,” Mike Abney of Nitrous Express explained. “It is so expensive to put a bigger fuel system on these cars, this makes it affordable.”

Nitrous Express improved upon its existing methanol injection systems with braided stainless lines to support the growing trend of spraying pure meth to augment factory fuel systems.

Speaking of affordable, the new kit for 5.0-liter Fox Mustangs might be the cleanest install for the classic ponies yet. Its plate supplants the factory EGR plate in favor on a nitrous plate that also cleanly mounts the fuel and nitrous solenoids. This kit can deliver gains of up to 300 horsepower and it comes in reasonably priced in the $700 range. It is designed to work with all aftermarket intakes and the 90mm plate includes adapters for the popular throttle body diameters.

“Ultimately it will offer a super-clean install for Fox bodies,” Mike said.

The company is also releasing a sleek, new plate system for ’86-’93 Mustangs that replaces the factory EGR plate with nitrous plate featuring integral solenoids. NX has also upgraded its Maximizer nitrous control with a user-friendly touchscreen interface. And, for racers NX developed a battery-powered bottle heater system that uses easily attainable batteries used for consumer power tools.

If you want to add progressive control to the new Fox nitrous kit or any other nitrous kit, Nitrous Express has upgraded its controller with a high-end touchscreen interface that allows users to easily adjust their nitrous hit.

That’s a lot of new stuff to take in, so if you want to get more information on these products, check out the official NX site here.
