PRI 2015: Ultimate Headers Debuts LT1, LT4, and Coyote Flanges

By using the 21st century’s best engineering practices, combined with cutting-edge computer-aided design, and aircraft-grade materials, Ultimate Headers manages to stay on the innovative forefront of the performance market.

This year at PRI, Ultimate Headers’ Jim Browning showed off the new Ultimate Flange applications for the LT1, LT4, and Coyote engines. The Ultimate flanges not only look great, but offer increased surface area, reduced weight, improved cooling, and the ribbed reinforcement adds extra strength while reducing heat-induced warpage. Made out of 316L stainless steel the Ultimate Flanges also have a great resistance to heat-related corrosion.

Ultimate Headers also debuted their new headers for LT1, LT4, and Coyote engine swaps into earlier vehicles.

“We started with our LS swap header,” explained Browning. “With our tight bends, we can tuck the header in between the frame rails of a first-gen Camaro. We use 1 7/8-inch tubing, as well, so the guys can kind of have their cake, and eat it too.”

All of Ultimate Headers’ primaries are made from 321 stainless steel and come in a variety of finishes to suit the look of any given application. The LT1/LT4 swap headers will fit a first-generation Camaro with a Detroit Speed subframe, ’68-’72 GM A-Body, and Tri-Five Chevys. The Coyote swap headers will fit into the narrow frame rails of any Mustang from ‘64.5-’70 with ease.

With GM recently introducing the LT1 and LT4 crate engines to their performance part catalog, Ultimate Headers is doing the aftermarket a solid with their LT1 and LT4 swap headers. The LS is a wildly popular engine, and there’s no question that the LT engine family will be the next popular swap candidate, especially when the engines become easier to find second hand.
