PRI 2016: DeatschWerks Releases New FPR And Accessories

When it comes to fuel system hardware and accessories, many know of DeatschWerks for the company’s high quality fuel injectors and fuel pumps, but not as many are aware that DW is really turning into a one stop shop for all things fuel related from fuel rails to fittings.

While at the 2016 Performance Racing Industry trade show we spoke to David Deatsch, President of DeatschWerks, to hear about what new fuel system products and accessories their team has been hard at work developing for professional racers and enthusiasts alike.

Fuel Pressure Regulator

Last year, DeatschWerks released their universal DWR1000 fuel pressure regulator, with dual -6 AN inlet ports and a single -6 outlet port, a fuel pressure range 30 to 100 psi, and a flow rating in excess of 500 lph. It features all stainless steel and anodized internals, and they even added a ball bearing adjustment for precision pressure adjustments. The problem? It still wasn’t enough for serious racers making big power.

“We have had a lot of customers using our DWR1000 regulator on their vehicles that have reached out to us asking what we have for their bigger builds requiring more flow with -8 or -10 plumbing, and the new DWR2000 regulator is our answer,” says Deatsch. “While it is possible for our DWR1000 to provide enough flow for over 1,000 horsepower, it wasn’t specifically designed to be used beyond that, so our team created the DWR2000 to fill that need. It was just something we needed to do.”

“The DWR2000 is very similar in design to the 1000, the only difference being 15 mm taller to accommodate the higher flowing dual -10 AN inlet ports,” explains Deatsch. “The outlet was also enlarged from -6 to -8.”

A One Stop Shop

DeatschWerks also listened to their customers requests for a one-stop shop experience. “As with any high-performance aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, it does require quite a bit of plumbing,” says Deatsch. “Our customers asked for a one stop shop and we gave it to them. By adding a complete line of fittings and tools for any of your fuel plumbing needs from -6 to -10, we’ve made just that much easier for our customers to get everything they need in one place.”

The DWR2000 is set for a release in Q1 of 2017.
