Getting a new product installed in a vehicle can seem like a no-brainer to most of us, but when it comes to wiring that is a whole different animal. The folks over at C&R Racing [2] have developed a line of wiring harnesses and installation kits to simplify the installation of electric fans.

The billet enclosures are available in two or three relay models. Each housing securely attached the relay and has a rubber grommet to protect the wires.

Each installation kit features 40-amp relays inline fuse and burn-resistant polyethylene wire. Additionally, pull-tested crimping is used in the harnesses construction for increased durability. All the kits come with diagram-illustrated instructions and a billet mounting kit. Best of all, the entire kit is made right here in the USA.

Gone in the wind are the days of mounting relays with a self-tapping screw. “The relays are mounted in an enclosed box,” Roger Rosebush of C&R Racing explained. “This keeps the terminals covered, protected any time the engine bay is washed, and makes for a cleaner install.”

Within each kit there is a wiring diagram like the ones above that will help with the visual part of the installation.

The kits are available in either a single fan or dual fan option and with or without air conditioning. The harnesses can be used with old or new style air compressors and come with a 40-amp relay.
