As any regular EngineLabs reader must know by now, we’re big fans of time-lapse video of engine assembly and disassembly. Having the option to witness an engine go from full-on bullet to loose parts in a matter of moments is mesmerizing, and we applaud those enthusiasts who take the time to record their shenanigans for posterity.

In this video, Pedro Freitas and Paolo of GPGarage in Italy take the time to knock down the four-cylinder engine from a Mini Cooper S, while we as viewers have the soundtrack of one of Metallica’s greatest hits from their greatest album (sit down, you Black Album lovers) rolling in the headphones the entire time. In our opinion, Motorbreath is one of the band’s most underrated songs – so thanks for choosing it, Pedro!

The video encompasses fifty seconds of fury, as the engine goes from an assembled piece on the shop floor to a pile of tools and parts on the engine room table, all while James Hetfield and the boys are rockin’ out.
