At the recent World Of Wheels show in Calgary, the Zeebs-sponsored “Battle of the Techs” engine build competition took place over the four-day event. This video is an interesting look at the choreographed dance that occurs when two people set out to build an engine within a prescribed time – this particular team is from Sait Polytechnic School of Transportation.

With a full crowd of onlookers watching their every move, the eight teams were whittled down to just two for Sunday’s final round, where Team Redemption, consisting of Patrick Herrmann of Varsity Chrysler and Clayton Olsonberg of Country Hills Toyota, took the win by assembling their entry in an insane 9:17.14. Their competition in the final round, the Broke Hillbillys, stopped the clock with a very-respectable 9:26 mark.

The advent of user-friendly video camera technology has brought many videos like this to light, and it was enjoyable for us to watch the dance these two technicans performed while assembling this small-block Chevrolet engine.
