It really is no secret that car guys love to look at chrome and other shiny things on cars. What makes those shiny things even better is when they are able to support huge horsepower and take a beating in the process. Visner Engine Development is known for some of the most cutting edge induction parts in the drag racing world, but they also make one mean set of billet big block Chevy heads that any racer can use.
These heads from Visner Engine Development are their big block Chevy spread port 14 and 14 ½ degree versions of their big chief style heads. The beautiful billet units use the Dart style valve cover, have a conventional header layout pattern, and most 14 and 14 ½ degree manifolds will bolt right up to them.
Visner Engine Development owner David Visner designed these heads with the racer in mind. “The big advantage is how durable the head is since it’s made of billet. That makes it very rigid so it can take a ton of abuse from the racer. They are available with water-through-head only and no water through the deck. The heads can also be purchased with through deck water for full cooling depending on the application. These heads can be used for any power adder application or as naturally aspirated head with the full water option.”
Speaking of Options, there are a few different valve size options for the Visner Engine Development units. Racers can also pick from different port sizes based on their engine and power-adder choice. Make sure you check out the Visner Engine Development website to see all the different options these great heads have.
