AEM’s Infinity ECU Available for Ford Coyote Race Engines

Since the debut of Ford’s Coyote engine, racers have been clamoring for an aftermarket engine management system that will control all of the techno-wizard engine’s capabilities like the Ti-VCT variable cam timing and drive-by-wire throttle. That system is now here – the AEM Electronics Infinity Programmable ECU.

Official Release:

Infinity-10 and -8 ECUs are now available for Ford Coyote race engines as a Supported Application (PN 30-7100 Infinity-10 and 30-7101 Infinity-8). A Plug & Pin Kit (PN 30-3701) and Universal Wiring Harnesses (PN 30-3702 96” & PN 30-3703 Mini) are available for adapting the Infinity ECU onto a Coyote race engine.

The Infinity ECU is a complete standalone programmable ECU that includes programmable control of all four of the Coyote’s variable valve camshafts, providing tuners with the ability to take full advantage of the engine’s midrange power potential. It also delivers programmable control of the Coyote’s drive-by-wire system and provides the ability to develop two drive-by-wire profiles. Other key racing features include multiple boost control strategies, programmable nitrous control, on-the-fly map switching, programmable four-wheel speed traction control, launch control, flex fuel and multi fuel capability. It utilizes airflow (VE) based tuning, has up to 64GB data logging capacity and can transfer data at up to 480Mb/second. Its enclosure is sealed and suitable for engine bay mounting.

The Infinity EMS delivers high-end engine control for the racing masses at a fraction of the cost. Built around a latest-generation 200MHz automotive processor, the Infinity is capable of processing 400 MIPS (millions of instructions per second). For a limited time all Infinity systems come fully enabled without the need for feature add-on purchases. Combined with AEM’s industry leading after-purchase support system, including free technical support, the Infinity is the ultimate engine control solution for both professional race teams and weekend track cars.

The Infinity’s airflow-based tuning models simplify start up and speed up the tuning process by eliminating many of the lookup and trim tables (Correction Tables) necessary in previous generation ECUs. Each Infinity ECU includes ignition coil outputs and injector drivers equivalent to its name.

Features:

  • Airflow model based (VE) tuning
  • ECU Set Up Wizard simplifies start up
  • Multi-fuel capable
  • Programmable drive-by-wire
  • Four-cam programmable variable valve control
  • Multiple programmable boost control strategies
