We are proud to announce and welcome Scott Parker as the company’s editorial director of content and strategy. Scott will be leading all editorial and video content across Power Automedia’s twelve industry-leading automotive magazines, as well as taking on general management responsibilities.

Scott has extensive editorial experience in the automotive industry, including roles as editor of GM High-Tech Performance Magazine and Vette Magazine, along with helping launch the Mustang 360 and the Super Chevy digital platforms. He is a graduate of Rutgers University, and recently completed an MBA from the University of South Florida.

“We interviewed a number of qualified candidates,” said James Lawrence, Power Automedia CEO. “One of the things that pushed Scott to the front of the list is his mixture of editorial experience, technical knowledge, digital savvy, and business acumen. With the expansion and growth of Power Automedia, it’s more important than ever for our leadership to have a mixture of all of these ingredients.”

ProCharged C6 2Parker has owned, and still owns, an eclectic menagerie of GM iron. His 2005 Corvette (pictured above center) featured a D-1SC ProCharger and was capable of low-11 second passes, all while being daily driven. (From left to right) Parker still owns this ’83 Buick which has been turned into a Pro-tourer with the help of a DSE suspension setup, Wilwood big brake kit, Grip Equipped wheels, T56 and LS3 E-Rod. “The Purp” was a race-only fourth-gen Camaro that featured a 451 ci LSX. Parker’s Trailblazer SS still sits in his garage and is being prepared for an LSA swap. And last, but not least, his former ’94 Formula, which had a nitrous-huffing 383 that was also capable of low-11 second passes.

Just a few of the cars Parker has owned over the years. The '08 Trailblazer SS and '83 Buick still call his garage home.

“I am looking forward to being able to contribute to Power Automedia’s culture, and being able to team up with like-minded, passionate, individuals,” Parker said. “Power Automedia has really been a market leader in the digital automotive segment, and I’m excited to utilize my experience to help bring creativity and fresh thinking to Power Automedia’s publications and video content. We’ve got a lot of big things coming down the pipeline that I’m excited about.”

Scott and his family will be relocating from Tampa, Florida, to Temecula, California, to join Power Automedia’s full-time staff in our home offices.
