Video: Tour the Full Edelbrock Facility with Christi Edelbrock

The name Edelbrock [1] is synonymous with performance. From a company that started with Vic Edelbrock’s dream of going fast in his ‘32 Ford in the 1940s to a company that now has 500,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities in Southern California, Edelbrock has grown to be the go-to source for all your aftermarket performance needs.

[2] While many of us have Edelbrock components on our vehicles, there is much more to the brand than the finished product. Check out a behind the scenes look at how all the performance products you love are created at the Torrance, California Edelbrock manufacturing facilities in the video above.

While the Edelbrock performance brand started with the creation of just one product, Vic Edelbrock Sr.’s Slingshot Manifold, back before the company was even started, Edelbrock now offers hundreds of products from valve covers to superchargers. To ensure their customers get only the best performance components, the creation and testing of all Edelbrock’s products is handled in-house in the Southern California facilities, from creating raw castings in the foundry all the way to testing for quality in the company’s QC (quality control) Department.

The Edelbrock family even uses their own products on their personal vehicles, a testament to their dedication to offer only the best products to their customers. Many of Edelbrock’s products can also be found on the cars in the Toy Barn, like the ‘74 Camaro test mule being used to test the brand new LSX crate engine, or the ‘57 Chevy heading to the Hot Rod Power Tour this coming week, as well as the car’s in Vic’s Garage.

If you ever get a chance to take a peak in the Edelbrock facilities, we highly recommend you do so. Although they aren’t open to the public, private tours of Vic’s Garage are available for certain groups. You can also see the garage at the Rev’ved Up 4-Kids [3] event held every spring.
