SEMA 2017: Stewart-Warner Is Changing The Game On Gauges

“One thing that’s new for this year is our white faced deluxe wing gauges,” said Riaz Mohammed, Marketing Manager for Stewart-Warner. “These gauges incorporate our classic SW wings at the bottom of the face as an ode to our century old company, and they can be ordered for CAN-Bus OBD II systems, such as those in modern vehicles, or electric or mechanical iterations.”

The name Stewart-Warner is usually emitted in a sentence which is shortly followed by such manufacturers as Aston Marin, Ford and GM. All for good reason, of course, as the company has provided its instrument clusters, gauges and more as an aftermarket (and sometimes, even OEM) solution for more than a century now.

A component that is new for this year that caught our attention immediately was SW’s 14-inch display. The goal is to have all of the classic Stewart Warner gauges available virtually on the display, freeing up room in the interior and the dashboard. How cool is that?

Continuing that trend of providing solutions, Stewart-Warner has made an effort to deepen its portfolio of OEM replacement and service parts this year in the form of additional components for both classic and modern vehicles. From the vintage mechanical offerings to the latest in electronic digital gauges, Stewart-Warner had all of its cards laid out on the table at this year’s SEMA Show.

The folks at Skunkworks brought out its absolutely killer restomod; a Chevelle SS with late-model 6.2-liter supercharged LSA under the hood. Naturally, this bad-boy is running a complete Stewart-Warner gauge setup.

Riaz said that, for the first time in more than 50 years, SW is now offering these white gauges. It’s safe to say, this century-old company is at the leading edge of gauge and human interface technology for the 21st century.
