SEMA 2016: PRW Makes Rockers Stronger with Less Friction

 1

PRW Industries, Inc. introduced its new line of Performance Quotient 2024 Extruded Aluminum Rocker Arms. Several features that have been built into the new rockers advance the already championship-winning 6061 rockers to the next level.

 2

The Performance Quotient 2024 feature a precision ground needle and cage bearing, a step up from precision ground, and are CNC machined to exacting specifications. Each rocker arm is bead blasted to reduce stress risers and increase strength before final anodizing. Roller axles and trunions are made from bearing steel for increased strength and reliability. These rockers are available for several applications including Ford, Chevy, and Pontiac.

Sean Snow of PRW said, “With the Performance Quotient Platinum Series rockers there is stronger aluminum and quite a bit less friction in these particular bearings. So the lifter itself is stronger and will carry more load, allowing more spring pressure.

PRW manufactures full lines of rocker arms, fasteners, engine stands, flexplates, dampers. pushrods, flywheels, stud girdles, valve covers, main caps, water pumps and cooling system components.

Also new to PRW is the LS-Series Rockers. A “drop in” rocker that can incorporate the factory stand and bolt. “You can also upgrade to our stand which is made of steel versus the factory stand that is made of cast aluminum and they have a tendency to break,” Said Snow. “Most people forget the LS engines are now 20 years old. With age comes fatigue. This is why our factory replacements can eliminate future issues.”
