Justice Brothers [2]‘ Diesel Emission Control Service kit surpassed expectations upon its release to the professional service centers earlier this year. The popularity of the service kit is pressing Justice Brothers to educate and train repair facility technicians on the products’ use.
What many diesel operators don’t realize is that after time, exhaust soot is recirculated back to the engine and eventually to the engine’s oil system.

“The Diesel Emission Control Service kit is only sold to professional repair facilities because it is a three-part kit that requires adherence to proven maintenance procedures,” says Dean Bridgeford of Justice Brothers. “There are no shortcuts in performing a total engine cleanse.”
Although it’s common knowledge that diesel engines inherently produce soot, Bridgeford stresses, “What many diesel operators don’t realize is that after time, exhaust soot is recirculated back to the engine and eventually to the engine’s oil system. Eventually the recirculated exhaust soot will start caking up on the EGR valve resulting in a trouble code.”
Regulations require late-model diesel vehicles to have particulate filters, which are also subject to exhaust soot that can lead to lower turbo boost.
[3]Training repair facility technicians on the proper use of Justice Brothers’ professional service products has been a priority for the company this year.
“The first step in the kit is adding part one to the engine’s existing oil and bringing the engine to operating temperature. Once at operating temperature, the first stage cleaner is allowed to circulate for 45 minutes.”
The heat cycle and circulation time actually loosens and breaks the coked-on exhaust soot into smaller particles that are removed durning the ensuing engine oil change.
The second step requires adding part two of the service kit along with fresh oil.
“Part two includes an evaporate in the chemical make-up that produces a cleaning vapor that circulates through the air passageways while the engine is allowed to run at low RPMs for another cycle,” explains Bridgeford.
The last stage adds a fuel injector cleaner to complete the total engine cleaning.
“It’s designed for use in all diesel vehicles up to Class 4,” sums up Bridgeford, “completely cleaning the diesel fuel and oil systems with the 3-step system.”
