Manley Performance Products’ new Ready To Run LS rotating assembly packages take into account the customer who wants a little of this and some of that on the journey to finish his engine build. In much of the automotive aftermarket, finding the right items for a project becomes a bit tiresome when company after company only lets customers pick from large, bell-and-whistle kits in order to get the one or two parts they actually need.
We spoke with Trip Manley to get a better sense of what these packages offer. “When we developed these packages, we realized there were loads of combinations we had to deal with,” he said. “So what we decided to do was to pretty much give everybody their choices of what they wanted, instead of having dedicated part numbers which would otherwise pigeonhole customers.”
By allowing this mix-and-match ability to the buyer’s selections, Manley makes the process more tailored and personalized. “Even down to the bearings, we’re all about presenting tons of options to our customers,” said Manley. The complete assortment of Ready To Run LS packages can be found in the company’s catalog, available as a PDF download here.
Elsewhere, we talked with Jesse Vazquez to go over the new pistons for the popular EcoBoost motors from Ford. Here, Manley followed factory specs to give the parts their proper profile and fitment. “This is new territory for Manley, so to speak,” said Vazquez. “We wanted to follow the direction from Ford with these introductory units before trying something unorthodox.”
We expect to hear more about these pistons in the near future, but for right now, the company is playing it safe by offering forged stock replacements that fit Ford’s popular fuel-efficient mills. Read up more on these and other products from Manley by visiting them online and on Facebook.
