Peterson Fluid Systems, among the leaders in wet and dry sump race oiling technology, has a new Remote Filter Mount on display here at PRI, featuring an easy-to-use Engine Oil Primer that allows you to use a standard drill to prime the engine before firing.
This piece just has so much efficiency in how it operates. – Michael Morton
The system uses Peterson’s unique R4 rotor design, allowing this small pump to provide 20 psi of oil pressure in just 10 seconds, ensuring all of your bearing surfaces are oiled before rolling the motor over to help reduce engine wear and tear. Once the engine is running, the Primer seals off to prevent the backflow of oil.
Peterson is offering the Remote Filter Mount as either a firewall or tube mount, with a tube clamp that allows racers to mount the setup on the chassis of the car. The unit is adjustable in measures of 22.5 degrees, depending on how you want to clock it.
The unit features a billet aluminum construction and AN port fittings, in addition to the mounting options. Said Peterson’s Michael Morton, “This piece just has so much efficiency in how it operates.” That efficiency is no more evident in the ease of which the primer turns, as you can simply crank it over with your fingers with hardly any effort.
