Callies made a big splash at PRI and showed off their cool new forged crankshafts for GM’s Duramax diesels. A first in the industry.

Every Compstar Duramax crank is born with 4340 forged steel and will fit any Duramax V8 engine.

While not available to the general public, it will be offered to pro-racing teams and monster truck hotshots that like to tune their Duramax mills to make lots of power and blow lots of black smoke. Look for it’s release in Summer of 2017

Compstar crankshafts are available in a variety of Small Block Chevy, Big Block Chevy, Small Block Ford, Late Model Hemi, Dodge Viper and LS1 configurations as well.

Callies Compstar Crankshafts are designed by our engineers, and forged on proprietary dies, made to our specifications. They are rough machined from certified 4340 forgings to our tolerances, then finish machined in our facility.

Our in house solid modeling abilities provide a great advantage in product development. We’re able to precisely locate material where it will yield the greatest advantage in terms of both strength to weight, and balance ability.

Beginning with properly placed counterweights that not only improve balance but reduce bearing loads, every aspect of these highly stressed components has been analyzed. Our forgings are rough machined in a process that includes double stress relief operations that make these crankshafts very dimensionally stable.

Hardened with a deep nitride, Compstar cranks are ideal for all types of abusive racing environments. All rod journals are drilled and counterweights are profiled for piston clearance.
