Energy Manufacturing Has Billet Block Bling For Your Race Car

If you’re running a high-horsepower engine combination you’ve probably become very familiar with how to navigate lead times for parts. Companies across the performance aftermarket have been dealing with supply chain issues and other obstacles thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, but there’s some light at the end of the tunnel for certain parts.

Energy Manufacturing’s billet engine blocks have become a hot commodity for drag racers that really want to make big horsepower. Energy Manufacturing has worked hard at getting the materials to machine its big-block Chevy (BBC) and small-block Ford (SBF) blocks. That effort had paid off and you can now score a standard configuration BBC or SBF in six weeks or less.

The blocks that Energy Manufacturing produces are created from a 490-pound block of 6061 aluminum and are heat treated to a T6 level. Energy Manufacturing put a lot of thought into the design of its different blocks to ensure they would meet the racer’s needs. You can get one of these BBC blocks with standard or raised camshaft provisions, 7/16-inch head studs along with 9/16- or 1/2-inch splayed main studs. The SBF blocks feature high strength bearing bronze cam thrust retention provisions, 1/2-inch ARP main studs, 1/2-inch head stud provisions, and either 7075 aluminum or 4140 steel main caps.

So, if you’re thinking about upgrading your engine program with a billet bullet, Energy Manufacturing can assist you with the transition. You can learn more about the different billet blocks Energy Manufacturing offers right here on the company’s website.
